RED ZONE OVERUSE
1 Comment Published by Frank Lane September 1st, 2007 in Differentiation, Near MissHere is a potential Big Idea that just misses because the theme chosen is overused in my opinion.
Prudential investments have created the idea of a Retirement Red Zone defined as five years before or after retirement. Having a critical time zone before and after retirement seems like a legitimate idea but calling it a RED ZONE seems weak to me and I’m a big football fan.
Even if Red Zone is not overused, it’s misused in this idea. The Red Zone in football is within 20 yards of the end zone, and certainly does not include the +/- idea. It isn’t 20 yards before and after the end zone.
I think this could have been a more uniquely described idea.
